Project Launch - Prototype
Launching the first working prototype of Eclipse: Samurai Showdown (working title), A single-hit based fighting game for the Playdate console.
Please note that this project is a work in progress. The downloadable file is only a working prototype of the game. Obviously, there are bugs, missing features and lacking assets. However, any tips, hints, or feedback is very much appreciated! Thank you for trying out the game!
Future implementations include:
- Smart and engaging enemy AI.
- Stamina-System that affects e.g. action speed and recovery.
- Of course, sound and design.
As I'm a programmer first and artist later my first goal is to get the core mechanics of the game up and running before polishing it up with proper art and sound. I still hope that the game will turn out to be engaging and you'll have as much fun playing as I had creating the game! Any requests for contributions or collaborations are welcome!

Game has a lot of promise, looking forward to see what you do with it.
My one suggestion would be to have more collision between the swords. It felt strange to be able to have my sword overlapping the enemy sprite.

congrats on the launch so far! Love these types of games (bushido blade / deadliest warrior, etc). Can’t wait to see what you do with it :)
